A fire that raced through a hall hosting a Christian wedding in northern Iraq has killed around 100 people and injured 150 others, and authorities warn the death toll could rise.

    It’s 2023, we need to do better. There are vast resources available for dealing adequate fire escapes. There are some officials that need to have their day in court over this.

      Participants have a responsibility in fire safety as well.

      If you’re setting off uncontrolled amateur pyrotechnics indoors, there is no fire suppression system I can design and no escape routes I can plan, that will guarantee occupant safety.

        These days it’s mostly backwards developing world countries that put all the money towards appearances and take shortcuts when it comes to safety. cough cough China cough

        But still more developed countries are guilty of this too. Fascinating Horror does excellent 10 minute videos on disasters caused by negligence, and the following regulations that get put into place to prevent the same thing in future.
