How do we live in a world where it’s straight up accepted that a cartel has control of the oil industry? Especially in the face of global warming and economic disparity.
Because “what you gonna do about it”.
But then, the gulf war was fought over Iraq getting control over Kuwaiti oil capacity and thus getting too much control.
Now with the gigantic oil fields found in south America, the US having the shale production up and running and Russia (opec+ not opec) being embargoed everything is becoming hard for some of the gulf states.
What are you going to do, invade them further disrupting supplies?
